Breakfast Chat: Obsessive Cravings

That crunchy goodness blended with a flavor explosion called "tostadas!"  Oh my!   That is a consistent fall back and sometimes an obsession for me. This past week, I can't get enough of the combination of the intense flavor combination and the satisfying crunch.

Tostadas with scramled eggs, vegan cheese, cilanto, avocado, sweet peppers, green salsa and tajin for breakfast.

Tostadas with spicy marinaded short ribs, green salsa, lettuce, green onion, cilantro, avocado, and mango for a Shabbat treat.

Tostadas with melted vegan cheese, vegan sour cream, olives, green salsa, and Light Life smart ground crumbles for a snack.

Tostadas with seasoned fish, lettuce, cilantro, avocado, sweet peppers, green onion, mango and tajin for dinner tonight.
And the list goes on. Anyone else become obsessed with certain foods from time to time? How long does it last?  Do any of these foods make it to your often on the menu list?

  1. my tostadas are pretty boring. vegetarian refried beans, vegan cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, avocados or guac

  2. Try the tajin (chili, lime salt) and mango with it. Takes it to a whole new level. Yum!

Do you make yours as a lettuce wrap or did you find a corn alternative?

  3. on occasion i do corn and just pay the consequence. Afraid i keep things pretty boring. Maybe if I am at your house sometime you can surprise me with some other variation.

  4. Definitely. Will keep an eye out for a corn free alternative as well. One never knows.
