Chili Black Bean Soup (GF, dairy free, vegan)

Chili Black Bean Soup
Drain and rinse 1 15oz can of black beans
Pour into a quart pot.  Fill 3/4 with water.
Add 
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp minced garlic
1/4 tap black pepper
1 TBS bouillon
2-3 bay leaves
Cut 2 green onions over the pot.
Add a pinch of shredded carrots.

Mix.  Heat to a boil then lower temperature and simmer for at least an hour.  This soup will not get thick like most black bean soups as the beans were rinsed.  If you prefer a thicker soup, don't rinse the beans.
